I'm getting there on my website but I still have quite a ways to go! I'm hoping some of you might like to help me out, and in return I can help you out!

Digital photography has helped us a lot since it's so much more forgiving than film. It's a whole lot easier to get nicely lit interior photographs with just our on-camera flash, and gone are the days of green kitchens from the flourescent lights and yellow bathrooms from the incandescents. You can get perfectly good photos for your MLS listings most of the time and I'd assume you'd be hiring me mainly for the panoramic images, the quality of the tour I put together, and maybe better quality still images for your higher end listings. There are, however, some situations where your point and shoot camera just won't cut it and I'm looking for images to illustrate this. This is where my little photo contest comes in.
I've asked some of the Realtors with listings close to Hayesville to send me their worst listing photographs. I'm mainly looking for lighting challenges, the shots you just CAN'T get. I want to re-shoot the images and post them on my Still Photography page to illustrate just what I can do to make your property look great. If you have something to send me, please do, even just the NEGBOARD MLS number and an explanation of what you're having trouble with.

The best photos to send would be:

  • A north facing house that never gets light on the front so it's dark or the property around it is washed out.
  •  A large or long room that you can't get light all the way to the back of, especially with windows towards the back.
  •  A living room with a killer view that you can't get both the room and the view looking great.
  • Or basically just something that won't photograph well.

WHAT YOU CAN WIN is  professional, high quality photo to use for your listing. What I "win" is a before and after example for my website. I'm really looking for photos that are difficult to make look good. We all know the importance of quality photographs on our listings, especially in a resort area like ours. LET ME GIVE YOU ONE!!!  If you send the photo, please include the MLS number.
